Echoes from the Dark Clouds
The first book in the series was subtitled: The Storm Didn't Break Me. Each book I wrote after the first had pretty much the same beginning. Frankly, I was tired of the same telling of how we met. I didn't know much of what was going on, only that I was dealing with one man. Less than four months into the relationship, I knew he was scamming me, and I tried to leave him. I've lived on my own for a long time and was quite capable of taking care of myself.
Once away from him, I became scared. I was lost; I really didn't know what to do. I got confused and didn't know what to do next. I didn't just miss him; I found that I needed him. I needed him to calm me, to tell me what to do. I needed to hear his voice each night before I went to sleep.
I've left men before and never had to look back. But this was different; I became someone I didn't know. This wasn't me. I was totally out of my element. Something wasn't right in my life. I knew he was lying to me. I caught him in more than one lie, and I tried to leave, but came right back to him. I didn't understand anything then. I began to investigate him. I wanted to know who he was, where he was from, and what he was doing to me. Why did I need him? I couldn't understand that.
Since then, I have rewritten the series. My investigation lasted eight years, and I don't pretend to know everything, but I have learned enough to want to tell others about it. That's why I rewrote the series. The first book is still called The Storm Didn't Break Me. Each book tells something more than the one before it. The last book in the series is called Anuraga Thakura. At least, as of now. There will be at least one more.
My books are different from many of the books out on the market today. My story is told from inside the fog of confusion. Many details come from my diary entries, memory, and feelings at the time I wrote that part of the story.
